President
Prior to founding Velocity in 2005, Paul spent 17 years as the top sales representative and product developer for Active Chemicals Ltd. He practiced law as an industrial and intellectual property lawyer with Bull Houser & Tupper before commencing with Active Chemicals.
Paul holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Chemistry from St. Francis Xavier University, a Sales & Marketing Diploma from the University of British Columbia and a law degree (LL.B.) from the University of British Columbia. Paul is married with a 12-year-old daughter. He coached rep fastpitch for the city of Port Coquitlam for 2 years (2010 and 2011), and continues to play softball. He also enjoys golf and skiing.Albert Lam
Controller
Albert is the Controller and CFO of Velocity Chemicals Ltd. He holds a B.A. from the University of British Columbia, an accounting diploma from Langara and has completed the Finalist level of the CGA program. Prior to co-founding Velocity in 2005, Albert spent 10 years in public accounting performing audits, IT work and SRED applications.
Albert has been volunteering his time to the Canada One Foundation for the past 7 years.Ryan Anderson
General Sales Manager
Ryan has a wealth of experience within the chemical industry, having spent the last 15 years working in Industrial Chemical Sales to Heavy Industry across Western Canada and the US. In that time, he was instrumental in acquiring numerous large corporate accounts, and as well as in enhancing Value Added Services to clientele and cultivating enduring relationships with them.
Don Lam
Chemist
Don holds a B.Sc. (Chemistry) from the University of British Columbia and is a highly accredited research scientist. He was formerly with Active Chemicals Ltd., Savolite Corp, Mt Hood Chemicals (Portland, Oregon) and Napier Environmental Technologies. In total, Don has over 24 years experience as an industrial chemist.
Don joined Velocity Chemicals in February 2006, and is responsible for developing all chemical formulations, managing Velocity’s Quality Control/Assurance program, preparing all Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) compliance documents, obtaining Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) approvals, and the preparation of all Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and Technical Data Sheets. Don is married with 2 children.David Arseneault
Production Manager
David is the Production Manager and Shipper/Receiver for Velocity Chemicals and has held this position since 2006. Prior to working at Velocity, he held a similar position at Active Chemicals for over 10 years.
Dave is married with a young child.Mike Kubossek
Operations Manager
Mike is one of the original investors and employees of Velocity Chemicals. He is now the Operations Manager for Velocity. Prior to commencing with the company, he was the President of a family business in Vancouver with 15 employees.
Mike is married with 2 adult children. He is an avid golfer.
